HRH Prince Moulay Rachid unveils highlights of the Friendship Meeting 2008

Rabat, November 9, 2007 – After the success of the previous three events, 2008 is a great year to continue this exciting event, the Friendship Meeting of young scouts.

Scout youth project aims to teach a variety of youth groups from all walks of life and backgrounds and to enhance the contribution of youth empowerment.

His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, President of Moroccan Scout Organization, believes that for any society to be successful it must recognize that youth are just as important as all other members of society.

His Royal Highness is hoping with this mission to help develop and nurture friendship amongst the youth, enhance learning and address issues of global importance.

This event will take place in the beautiful cities of Rabat, Fes, Safi and Sefrou, after a very successful edition last year in Rabat, Fes and Marrakech.

The Friendship Meeting project has really pioneered the empowerment practice in the creation of opportunities for scouts, raising awareness and interest within youth.

His Royal Highness is committed to create new opportunities for youth to improve socio-economic status of the children and youth and to explore sustainable networking, confidence building and process by engaging them in international cooperation.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid welcomes the 2007 junior golf season

Rabat-Morocco, November 7th, 2007 – His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid in the framework of implementation of the National Development of Junior Golf, officially opened this year golf season on November 7th, 2007.

This year junior golf season will be driven forward by opening the pathway through schools and academies that will focus primarily on developing golf for children in their areas.

The Dar Essalam Royal Golf Academy, the first of its kind launched by His Royal Highness in 2004 with the aim to help underprivileged children discover life’s lessons through golf, will open its gates on November 27th, 2007.

His Royal Highness underlined his commitment to develop opportunities for all children, who want to take part in the game and support for those who demonstrate talent and interest in developing their skills to the highest levels.

His Royal Highness has illustrated a notable interest in golf development and has launched various initiatives to stimulate and ensure sufficient opportunities in golf for all kids despite of their background.

35th annual Hassan II Golf Trophy a resounding success!

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid shines spotlight on Humanitarian Crisis as UN celebrates its birthday


Rabat, Morocco, October 24, 2007 - Known for his compassionate nature and many philanthropic efforts, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid took under his wings and denoted the protection of the 62nd United Nations (UN) Day as a part of his humanitarian efforts.

The high-wattage royal with the packed schedule, on the 62nd anniversary of United Nation, inaugurated the exhibition named "The route of the Millennium" to give the opportunity to learn about the issue of charitable trust, how the lack of a cohesive command is affecting the humanitarian efforts and to highlight the pressing humanitarian state that remains.

This is the second jury’s president from the Slavic nation in festival's 7th edition after the renowned Polish director Roman Polanski, who led the jury last year.

Building on the success of last year’s MIFF, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid has break festival free of the geographic limitations to literally bring the world to Marrakech, the city of intercultural crossroads.

Further utilizing on his academic knowledge and international skills, His Royal Highness’ special interest in fostering cross-cultural dialogue enhances understanding among today's youth and his goals and inspiration are translated behind events such as MIFF.
