HRH Prince Moulay Rachid leads the way for French President Sarkozy


Marrakech, Morocco, October 22, 2007 – His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, Morocco’s heir to the throne, greeted the Republic of France’s President, H.E. Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy with a kindly smile, who arrived in Morocco Monday for a three day long state visit.

Prince Moulay Rachid, dressed in black elegant suit and wearing a bright blue tie, seemed to be delight in the company of the French president at the welcoming ceremony marked by great pomp and extravagance.

The 37-year-old royal also spent time chatting to the excited French President’s official suite and representatives from the diplomatic corps that had greeted him with pleasant demeanor.
After the lavish ceremony, the down-to-earth royal enthusiastically showed off his diplomatic skills, as he presides over ceremony where the two countries signed several bilateral agreements.

To mark the occasion, His Royal Highness underlines that among the main purposes of the visit is stimulation of the economic relations between Morocco and France.

With the date of the prestigious Hassan 2 Golf Trophy approaching, the Prince shows no sign of slowing down, and intends to continue with his renewed commitment to support to 62nd United Nations (UN) Day celebration with official presidency on October 24th, 2007.
