HRH Prince Moulay Rachid sets in motion Islamic Studies and Human Sciences

Casablanca, May 31, 2007 – His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, the heir to the Moroccan throne, inaugurated the King Abdulaziz al Saud Foundation for Islamic Studies and Human Sciences in Casablanca.

His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, a leading Muslim moderate, has voiced strong support to curb extremism and to promote moderate Islam through education, and to foster dialogue among the world's great religions.

His Royal Highness who also works to devise a new way to reinforce and advocate for the moderate, mainstream Islam aimed at spiritual and cultural issues, presents advice and support to the interfaith and Islamic affairs of understanding and cooperation.

The King Abdulaziz al Saud Foundation for Islamic Studies and Human Sciences in Casablanca cost 69,703,154 Dirhams and will incorporate a 45-Meter long and 6-Meter wide bridge linking the old and new buildings.
