HRH Prince Moulay Rachid internalizes aspirational notion of human rights

His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid and Moroccans efforts go hand-in-hand for human rights principles

Khemiss Sidi Yahia-Morocco, May 22, 2007 - His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid who epitomizes a strong, gracious style of leadership, lead thousands of Moroccans in the funeral procession to pay their final respects to the Moroccan human rights activist Driss Benzekri.

His Royal Highness presence and leadership stressed the indissoluble links uniting security, development and human rights as the three pillars of the prince’s advocacy, without any of these world peace will not be accomplished.

His Royal Highness had been an ardent advocate of human rights and development and done his utmost to ensure that the Kingdom of Morocco own human rights apparatus that is more responsive to the needs of the day.

His Royal Highness - a driving force behind the global effort to achieve sustainable development and to promote and protect human rights for all - had shown exceptional courage and determination in the pursuit of peace, human rights and development.

Benzekri (57) died of cancer and was inhumed near his mother's tomb on a hillside near the village.
