His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid state visit to Saudi Arabia


Saudi Arabia, October 14-18, 2006 - His Royal Highness Price Moulay Rachid, the heir second in line to the Moroccan throne, arrived for a state visit to Saudi Arabia late Saturday.
On his arrival on King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, His Royals Highness was received by Senior Protocol Officials and Moroccan Ambassador.

Sunday on October 15, 2006, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid held a tête-à-tête session of talks with King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia in Makkah. At the meeting, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations issues and reaffirmed the depth and breadth of ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prince Moulay Rachid and King Abdullah also discussed the full range of development at the Arab, Islamic and Global grounds.

Later, King Abdullah hosted the Iftar party for HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and others foreign dignitaries. The audience were attended by Prince Khalid bin Fahd bin Khalid, Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of defense and aviation and Inspector General for Military affairs, other Princes and number of senior officials.

On Monday October 16, 2006, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid held a tête-à-tête session of talks with Crown Prince Sultan of Saudi Arabia in Makkah. Subsequently, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz hold Ramadan Iftar Party in honor of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid. Iftar (the breaking of fast) refers to the evening meal for breaking the daily fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan.

On Tuesday October 17, 2006, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid arrived to Al-Madinah to visit Prophet’s Mosque and to perform prayers. Prince was received at prince mohammed bin abdulaziz international airport by senior officials.

On Wednesday night October 18, 2006, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid left Al-Madinah and concluded his five-day state visit to Saudi Arabia. Prince Moulay Rachid was seen off at prince mohammed bin abdulaziz international airport by Saudi’s senior officials and Morocco's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdul Karim Al Sammar.

His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia indicates the Prince's keen interest in maintaining official diplomatic and bilateral relations between the two kingdoms.
