HRH Prince Moulay Rachid interrelates Moroccan Golf heritage into a Global venue

Prince Moulay Rachid of Morocco, like his father the late Majesty King Hassan II, is a passionate practitioner of the game of golf. With royal endorsement, golf is very popular in the exotic country of Morocco and it has found its roots and culture in this country wherein addition, nature presents majestic spectacle.

Some of the best known the country's golf courses are located at the Royal Dar es Salaam Golf Club in Rabat, which is the dream of golfers from all over the world. The Royal Dar es Salaam Golf Club annually hosts the internationally renowned Hassan II Golf Trophy, under the highest patronage of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid.

Prince Moulay Rachid embarks on the golf development projects and while respecting the traditions, His Royal Highness leads the way to modernity and provides opportunities for young Moroccans. Prince Moulay Rachid, as a president of the Royal Moroccan Golfing Federation (FRMG), has established the Royal Golf Academy. Prince Moulay Rachid vision is to address young talented golfers, especially from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. For that reason, the objectives of the Royal Golf Academy is to introduce the game of golf to those who may not have had the opportunity to play the golf, to develop skills and to encourage the interest of talented players.

HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, who was educated in Morocco and Europe, held position at United Nation in New York before completed PhD from Law, remains faithful to the game of golf and carries on his commitment to promoting and developing golf both nationally and internationally.
